JEANETTE SCHÄRING: KÄRINGATJÄRN NÄS, BORÅS, VÄSTRA GÖTALAND, SWEDEN
Mist of small droplets of water suspended in the cold air. Water comes in many forms, as you and me. Past and present, what does it matter, in the ray of light all matter is weaved in to a living fabric. Sensations are dispersed in a continuous phase of another. Stones touching each other, the sound calling. The structure of the leaves, the wind and the relationship between the tangible and the intangible, birds and animals of different sorts moving through the landscape of inaudible sound as they speak in the dance of fragrance and the symphony of photosynthesis.
Sphagnum mosses of living prismatic colour carpets, cover the ground on the marshes, the wetland that accumulates peat. Moss regulate water.
The small tarn is filled with reeds, floating plants and underwater forest, some with roots in to the underworld, where certain
species can hide. I lick the humidity and the fragrance from the bog myrtle of my skin, we share a secret. Thank you!
In early liminal hours I am encounter the physical of this place, in the pace of my heart, collecting materials, roots and words. Barefoot, with my naked skin, treasuring out in the swamp and in to the water.
Plants came to me, Myrica gale Vaccinium vitis-idaea, subtle acquaintances, let me use som of your component? Sweet gale, lingonberry, blueberry and white anemone. Phragmites australis- some and different sort of grass, some plants are more talkative than others.
I breath in the small droplets of water in the air off aesthetic, braiding my hair and my grandmothers. Deep in my archaic bones sits knowledge to my ancestors and their relationship to this land, plants, water, creatures, and the elements.
Thank you!
